BLACK and WHITE RIVER, contrast and harmony of river

1. RULES OF PARTICIPATION
Participate can all photographers from Slovenia and abroad. By submitting works, the participants of the competition confirm that they are familiar with all the conditions of the competition and that they are the authors of the submitted works. Contest participants submit digital works in digital JPG format via e-mail to the address: [email protected] (or the Wetransfer program) The photos must be black and white in JPG format, in good enough quality, to produce 30x45 cm photo. (Aspect ratio-photo format 2:3).
2. SECTIONS:
It all started with black-and-white photographs, which, despite changes and time, have survived to this day, due to their wonderful elegance and special beauty. They represent contrast and harmony at the same time. The contrast and harmony of the river is the theme of the competition.

Section B is related to the river Danube (river Drava). Danube is river of Europe that flows to the Black Sea (source of the river is in Italy)
Tatjana Pregl Kobe wrote about the Drava: "Slovenia enchants everyone with its originality and unforgettable beauty of nature, whoever experiences it, never forgets it." Among the special features is also the part of the Drava that flows through Slovenia. (The Drava is a river in Central Europe, the right tributary of the Danube. It originates in northeastern Italy in the Toblaško polje in the Pustrica Valley near the town of San Candido in South Tyrol, near the border with Austria. It flows through Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, along the Croatian-Hungarian border and under Osijek flows into the Danube near the village of Aljmaš.)"
3. MARKING AND NUMBER OF PARTS
Each participant can enter a maximum of four photos in each topic. Each work must be marked with the surname and first name of the author, the serial number of the topic, and the title of the work. For example: the second photo on subject A, is labeled "A2_surname_first_name_Title_of_photo". For example: "A2_Corner_Miha_Colors_of_river". The title must not exceed 25 characters. Only letters from the English alphabet are allowed, no consonants.

5. REGISTRATION FEE
The registration fee is 10 EUR.
The registration fee is paid to the transaction account of the Amicus Luminis club no. SI56 6100 0001 2571 062, Delovska hranilnica Maribor, Orožnova ul. 3a, Maribor. (SWIFT: HDEL SI22)
6. EXHIBITION is going to be in Vetrinjski court/castle Maribor, Slovenia in June (during the Lent festival, https://www.festival-lent.si/en/ Welcome! ).
7. THE JURY

8. PRIZES The jury will award 3 prizes and 3 commendations in each section. The best author will get solo exhibition in year 2025.
The decisions of the jury are final and no appeals are allowed.
9. EXHIBITION
The photographs selected by the jury will be exhibited in the Vetrinjski court/castle in June 2024.
10. COMPETITION CALENDAR:

11. PUBLICATION OF RESULTS
The results of the competition will be published on the website of the project: https://ekoartmaribor.weebly.com/. Each participant receives their personal results by email.
12. CATALOG
The organizer will make digital and a printed catalog.
